A workshop on disability-inclusive business in Bhutan is expected to actively promote the rights of persons with disabilities through innovative business practices. The Workshop on Disability-Inclusive Business, will be held on 3 April 2014, in Thimpu. The workshop is being co-organized by ESCAP, the Ministry of Education and the Disabled Persons' Association of Bhutan (DPAB). Social protection and disability experts from Bangladesh, Nepal, Pakistan and Sri Lanka will also join the workshops to share their countries’ experience on disability-inclusive business. During the meeting, ESCAP will also present the ESCAP-Sasakawa Award for Disability-Inclusive Business in Asia and the Pacific. The Bhutanese government will also officially launch the Incheon Strategy to 'Make the Right Real' for Persons with Disabilities.
